The agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and Embed Sheets for using embedsheets.com and the application at app.embedsheets.com. Creating an account means accepting them.
If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you are confirming you are allowed to, and “you” means that company.
Your account
- You need a working email address, and everything you tell us should be accurate.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself.
- One account is for one person or one organisation. Sharing a login around a team is not what it is for.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has got into your account.
The free trial
Every new account gets 30 days free, with the whole product and no card required.
When the trial ends without a plan being chosen, we send two reminders over seven days. If no plan is chosen after that, your calculators are disabled — they stop working on your site, and stop appearing to your visitors.
Disabled is not deleted. Nothing you built is thrown away, and choosing a plan brings it all back exactly as it was.
Plans, billing and cancellation
Plans are billed monthly and renew each month until you cancel. There is no annual plan, and no long-term commitment.
Payments are taken by FastSpring, who are the merchant of record for every sale. Their terms cover the payment itself; these cover the service you are paying for. Your card details are theirs to hold, not ours.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax FastSpring must add for where you are.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for — cancelling does not cut you off that day.
- Changing plan mid-month is prorated, so you pay the difference for the remaining days rather than starting again.
- If a price changes, existing subscribers get at least 30 days’ notice by email before it applies to them.
- Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy, which is part of this agreement.
If a payment fails we will retry and email you. Persistent failure disables your calculators the same way an unpaid trial does — and, again, deletes nothing.
Plan limits
The plans differ in exactly one way: how many forms or calculators you may have active at once. Every feature is on every plan.
If you move to a smaller plan while holding more than it allows, your first tools stay active up to the new limit and the rest are disabled. Nothing is deleted, and raising the limit again re-enables them.
What you build is yours
Your calculators, your formulas, your content and the data your visitors give you belong to you. We claim no ownership of any of it.
You give us permission to store and process it only so far as running the service requires — hosting it, showing it to your visitors, sending the emails you configure. Nothing else.
You are responsible for what you publish through Embed Sheets: that you have the right to use it, that any figures it quotes are correct, and that collecting what you collect is lawful where your visitors are.
What we own
The application, the site, the builder, the templates and the documentation remain ours. Using Embed Sheets does not transfer any of it to you.
You may not copy the product, resell access to it, or take it apart to build a competing one. Building calculators for clients and charging them for that work is entirely fine — that is what the larger plans are for.
Acceptable use
Do not use Embed Sheets to:
- Break the law, or help somebody else to.
- Collect card numbers, passwords, health records or government identifiers. The product is not built to hold them and you must not put them in it.
- Send unsolicited bulk email, or gather addresses to.
- Mislead people — a calculator that quotes a price you will not honour, or presents itself as another business.
- Attack the service, work around its limits, or get into an account that is not yours.
- Publish anything abusive, or anything infringing somebody else’s rights.
We may suspend an account that does these things. Where the breach is serious — where somebody is being harmed — we may do so without notice.
Availability
We work to keep Embed Sheets running, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. Maintenance happens, and so do failures at the companies whose infrastructure we sit on.
Parts of the product depend on Google — Sheets, Maps, addresses, distance, reviews. If Google changes or withdraws something, that feature may change or stop working, and that is outside our control.
We may add features, change them, or retire ones nobody uses. If we retire something you rely on, we will tell you first and give you time.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time. Doing so deletes your calculators and your leads permanently, so export anything you want to keep before you do.
We may close an account that breaches these terms. If we close yours for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.
Liability
Embed Sheets is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose of yours.
Check your own figures. A calculator you build is your calculation, published by you. We are not liable for a quote that came out wrong, whatever caused it.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business or lost data.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you at least 30 days beforehand, and continuing to use the service after it takes effect means accepting it. If you would rather not, cancel — and if you had time left on a plan, we will refund it.
