Turn a form submission into a PDF

Somebody fills in your quote form and gets a PDF back with your letterhead on it, their figures in it, and your terms underneath. Built from a Google Doc you already control.

How it works

  1. 01
    Write the document once

In Google Docs, laid out however your paperwork normally looks — logo, letterhead, terms and all.

  2. 02
    Mark where the answers go

Put field names where their values belong. Anywhere in the document, as many times as you like.

  3. 03
    Connect it

Point the calculator at the document. Nothing is copied, so editing the Doc changes every PDF made afterwards.

  4. 04
    Send or offer it

Email it with the results, or give the visitor a download button. Both, if you want.

What you get

Your layout, not ours

A built-in PDF layout is there if you want something quickly. A connected Google Doc means the PDF is your document — your fonts, your logo, your small print, your order of things.

Edit the template, not the calculator

Change the wording of your terms in the Doc and the next PDF has the new wording. Nobody opens the builder.

Every figure available

Anything the calculator worked out can be placed in the document, not just the headline number — line items, subtotals, dates, the lot.

Attached to the email automatically

The visitor's copy can carry the PDF as an attachment, so a quote arrives as a quote rather than as a link they have to click.

Questions

Do I need to design the PDF in your builder?

No, and that is the point. Use a Google Doc you already have. The built-in layout exists for when you want something in five minutes instead.

Can the visitor download it themselves?

Yes. Add a download button to the results and the PDF is generated when they press it.

Can it be emailed automatically?

Yes, attached to the visitor's copy of their results, to your own notification, or both.

Does editing the Google Doc affect PDFs already sent?

No. A PDF is made at the moment it is asked for, so ones already sent are unchanged and everything made afterwards uses the new version.
