Every builder in this category charges by traffic: views, visits, impressions, submissions or responses. Embed Sheets limits how many calculators you can have and nothing else — submissions are unlimited on every plan, including the $7 one. It is a different model rather than a cheaper version of the same one, and the difference shows up at the worst possible moment: when a calculator starts working.
Their $20 plan includes no submissions at all — a calculator that collects an enquiry needs the $40 one. Collecting enquiries is the whole reason most people build a calculator, so that is the plan to compare against, not the headline price.
Sending somebody a PDF of their quote is a $200/month feature there. It is on every Embed Sheets plan, and the PDF can be built from a Google Doc you already use as your letterhead.
Most businesses already have their pricing in a spreadsheet that works. Embed Sheets can use that sheet as the calculation engine: a visitor’s answers are written into its input cells and the results read back, so your existing formulas run untouched and changing a price means editing the sheet. Every other builder here asks you to rebuild the logic in their own formula language first.
For most calculators, yes — the fields, formulas, conditional logic, multi-step flows and lead capture all have equivalents. Not if you take payments inside the calculator or rely on their layered-image configurator; neither of those exists here.
They have to be rewritten, in either direction — every builder has its own formula language. If your logic started life in a spreadsheet, connect that sheet instead and skip the rewrite entirely.
They charge for traffic and we charge for calculators. Below a couple of thousand visits a month there is not much in it; above that the two diverge quickly, because our plans have no traffic ceiling to cross.
