Outgrow EMBED SHEETS vs OUTGROW

Embed Sheets or Outgrow?

Outgrow and Embed Sheets are not really the same kind of product, and the honest comparison is about which kind you need.

Outgrow prices below were read from their own pricing page on 26 August 2026. Check them before you decide — they change.

What Outgrow does better

  • Outgrow is a marketing suite, not a calculator builder. Quizzes, polls, assessments, chatbots, giveaways and recommendations are all in the box, and none of them are here.
  • If you are a marketing team running campaigns and want one tool for every interactive format, it does more than we do and the comparison is not close.
  • Its analytics and A/B testing across content types are built for that job in a way ours are not.

Feature Embed Sheets Outgrow
Drag-and-drop builder
Formula editor
Financial and date functions They name mortgages, bonds, interest and nested IF statements.
Charts and data tables They list line, pie, bar and radar charts.
A Google Doc as the PDF template Not something we could find stated either way on their site. Every plan Not stated
Quizzes and scored assessments Choices, a score worked out by formula and a banded result are all here; a quiz is a calculator whose answer is a category rather than a number.
Polls showing how everyone else answered That needs reading across every submission, which we do not do.
Chatbots and giveaways
Live data from a REST API Not something we could find stated either way on their site. Not stated
Unlimited pieces of content Theirs begins on the Essentials plan. $19/month $115/month
Custom domain and full branding control Theirs is on the Business plan. Every plan $720/month
A Google Sheet as the calculation engine Not something we could find stated either way on their site. Not stated
Unlimited visits Their published plans are metered in leads per year and say nothing about visits either way. Every plan Not stated
Unlimited submissions on every plan Their plans are metered by traffic or submissions; ours are metered only by how many calculators an account may have. Every plan

Where the two really differ

The price of unlimited

Unlimited content pieces starts at $115 a month there. Unlimited calculators here is $19, and the submissions are unlimited too. If what you actually need is calculators, that is the number to weigh.

Leads are counted by the year

Their plans are metered in leads per year, which is easy to underestimate when a campaign goes well. Ours are not metered at all.

Where the maths lives

Most businesses already have their pricing in a spreadsheet that works. Embed Sheets can use that sheet as the calculation engine: a visitor’s answers are written into its input cells and the results read back, so your existing formulas run untouched and changing a price means editing the sheet. Every other builder here asks you to rebuild the logic in their own formula language first.

What you give up

Everything that is not a form, calculator, widget or table. If quizzes and assessments are part of the plan, Outgrow is the right tool and this page should not talk you out of it.

Questions

Is Embed Sheets a replacement for Outgrow?

Only for the calculator and form part of it. Outgrow covers a range of interactive content types that we do not build at all, so a team using it for quizzes and assessments would be losing most of what they pay for.

Which is better for lead generation?

Both capture leads well. The difference is cost at volume: their plans cap leads per year, ours do not cap them at all.

Can I run both?

Yes, and some do — Outgrow for campaign content, Embed Sheets for the pricing and quoting calculators that live permanently on the website.
